We currently have about 300 registered users, most of whom are obvious spammers.
I've enabled capcha on the site, but you should not see it once you are logged in.
I'm also going to delete all user accounts for users who have never logged in. This should get rid of the spam accounts. If your account gets deleted in the process, sorry! Just sign up again and be sure to login, so I don't delete your account on the next potential user swipe.

I've had good luck using a link to Spam Poison at the top of my forums, after including it, spam registration dropped off considerably. Here is a link to the site, if you're interested. And Google and the other search bots seem to be able to work around it or at least I see them showing up on the site.

Also, if you are interested in a list of e-mail domains to banish from registration, I can provide a list I've built up, along with a few IPs that have annoyed me in the past. And here is a site building up a list of spammer addresses as well, http://fspamlist.com/.
Good luck with fighting the spam, I've dropped it down to maybe 1-2 a week trying to register from 2-3 a day on my low traffic forum I maintain, I'm just glad I don't have more trying to flood me at this point.
